Perkedel means fried cake,  udang means shrimp. Lately, my family often serves menus made from shrimp.  It's very delicious but I'm afraid that later my allergies will recur but forget it.  I have shared several shrimp recipes here, you should try them too.

There is one dish made from shrimps that are easy to make, tastes delicious, is crispy on the outside, and feels soft inside.  Yes, those are perked udang or shrimp cakes. The perkedel themselves are usually made from potatoes and corn but even baby shrimp can be used as this food.

The ingredients and process for making corn cakes are quite simple, you can see the full recipe below.

How to cook:

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients
Wash the baby shrimp thoroughly until the dirt can be removed and drained. Next, grind the shallots and garlic using a mortar and pestle, no need to be smooth. Then, slice the green onions into small sizes.

Step 2: Make Batter
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl evenly until the batter's texture is rather thick. Taste the batter before frying it.

Step 3: Frying until golden brown
Heat oil in a pan, add about 1-2 tablespoons of batter and fry until golden brown. Do it until the cakes look golden brown. Remove and serve the shrimp cakes.

In our house, these prawn cakes are eaten with rice along with other side dishes.  You can also eat it directly without adding anything as a snack.  Let's try and enjoy it!
